  14. Ok, this time i'll do some other approach because of the SoftICE Protection :)

  17. --->    Let's Begin...

  19. Open the CrackMe and you'll get immediately a Message Box saying that it has detected SoftICE :)
  20. Now click "Ok" and you should see a program with 3 buttons (Exit, Re-Test, About) and an
  21. "Edit Box" saying:

  23. "SoftICE DETECTED!!!!"

  25. Hehe ;)
  26. Ok, when a CrackMe only has a SoftICE Detection i'm always using a different approach.
  27. So click on the button "Exit" and open the CrackMe in a Hex-Editor.
  28. Then search for the string "\\.\SICE" or the hex values "CD68" (INT 68).
  29. In this case search for the string "\\.\SICE" and you'll be taken to offset "00000C74".
  30. Now type in hex "00" (NULL character) at the beginning of the string, then save the file and
  31. start the CrackMe.
  32. Now the window will come instead of the Message Box and in the "Edit Box" it says:

  34. "SoftICE not found!"
