- ~Hey YOU!
-
- A plea (that doesn't require the exchange of money) by Martin Keen
-
-
- You there! Yes, you! The one sitting in front of the monitor reading
- this. We know your type. You get hold of Cheet Sheets and learn all
- the cheats and solutions to PC games, browse through the reviews
- section, take a look at the articles, then quit out and do something
- else instead. We've put up with it for long enough, and we're not
- standing for it any more. Once you've read all the articles, reviews,
- cheats, and tips we want you to do just one more thing... GET TYPING.
-
- Cheet Sheets has developed into a very popular disk magazine. Its read
- by thousands and distributed across Europe. Yet only a tiny proportion
- of readers actually send something in themselves. I'm one of those
- readers and I'd like to point out some of the benefits of contributing
- to Cheet Sheets Monthly. So here are my top 3 reasons why YOU should
- get writing:
-
-
- ~1. Get Your Opinions Heard
-
- You've just bought a game. You might have read a review of it in a
- magazine, or a mate recommended it to you, or maybe the packaging was
- pretty. Whatever the reason, you will have an opinion on what that
- game is like. Cheet Sheets gives you the opportunity to let many
- others know what you thought of a game which may contribute to whether
- they buy the game or not. If the game was decent then let others
- know, or if it was bad be sure to warn readers not to buy it and have
- fun slagging it off at the same time. Cheet Sheets publishes reviews
- of new and old games so next time you buy a game be sure to have your
- opinions heard.
-
-
- ~2. Be Famous
-
- As you already know Cheet Sheets has a huge readership, across many
- countries. It also regually appears on magazine cover CDs such as
- PC Gamer. Lets face it if you appear in an issue of Cheet Sheets
- you're going to be pretty famous. Before you know it magazine
- publishers will be in contact offering you the job of editor for their
- flagship computer magazines. Then its off to Warner Books who are
- desperate to publish that novel you've been thinking of writing. And
- if you play your cards right the Hollywood movie deals will be
- flooding in. Cheet Sheets is your passport to success.
-
-
- ~3. Satisfaction
-
- ...But if you are not interested in material wealth Cheet Sheets still
- has something to offer. Just think of the satisfaction that is to be
- had of helping out other readers who are stuck on a game you have
- found a solution to. Let the world share in your knowledge and be a
- better person for it. And it won't have cost you a penny.
-
-
- So there you have it. What possible excuse could you have for not
- joining the Cheet Sheets crew with a few contributions? The editor is
- looking for game cheats and tips for any PC game old or new, reviews,
- and articles (which can be just about anything as long as they are
- vaguely related to PC gaming). Check out the microbook which came
- with this very issue of the magazine for more info, or contact the
- editor Wayne Roberts on the Cheet Sheets BBS where you can upload your
- literary masterpieces. Alternatively send your contributions by
- post (address elsewhere) and if you send an SAE you'll recieve the
- next issue of Cheet Sheets absolutely free.
-
- Do it now. You know you want too....
