  6. If you're  having a  little trouble  with the  fiendish puzzles  in this
  7. little game,  then follow  the following  steps, and you can easily edit
  8. your saved games to take yourself to any of the 20 levels :-
  9.  
  10. 1.  First of all, load up Arcy II, then start a new game.   When level 1
  11.     comes  up, press  's',  then select  slot one  (the top one)  as the 
  12.     position to save your game.  When the save process is  completed, go 
  13.     through the various steps to quit back to DOS.

  15. 2.  Now load up a hex editor such as the one in the NU package, and load
  16.     up the  file SAVE1.DAT  from the  main Arcy  II directory.  When the
  17.     file is displayed, guide yourself to Hex Location 101.

  19. 3.  You now  need to change the 01 you should find there  (meaning level
  20.     1)   to whichever  level you  want to go to.  You must remember that
  21.     the number  is stored  in hexadecimal notation, so 01 is 1, 09 is 9,
  22.     0A is 10, 0F is 15 and 14 is 20 etc. Since there are only 20 levels,
  23.     the maximum you must put in is 14  (meaning 20).

  25. 4.  When the file has been edited, save the changes, then you are  ready
  26.     to re-load Arcy II with your newly-changed save-game file.
