  7. Air Power - Autumn
  8. ------------------
  9. A new game from Overlord and Dawn Patrol programmers
  10. Rowan Software.  This new flight sim will cause quite
  11. a stir with it's plot.

  14. Aliens - October
  15. ----------------
  16. Mindscape have put Cryo onto the job of making a Doom
  17. beater from the Aliens licence.

  20. Chaos Control - Spring 
  21. ----------------------
  22. Infogrames have been promising CC for around a year now
  23. but we should hopefully see this Shoot-Em-Up out around
  24. February / March time.  The game is a co-production between
  25. Philips & Infogrames which will mean the game will come out
  26. on CD-i before CD-ROM.  Many people are expecting this to be
  27. another Microcosm / Novastorm sad case but from early demos
  28. it looks to be quite impressive.

  30. Name To Be Annouced - Autumn

  32. DID are working on a Helicopter game again for Ocean with 
  33. the game coming out on CD only rather than CD / Disk as DID
  34. have been doing with the last couple of games (Inferno & 
  35. TFX).

  38. Command & Conquer - Spring
  39. --------------------------
  40. Westwood Studios are to release an Action Strategy game 
  41. similar to the massive hit Dune 2.  The game will use an 
  42. improved game engine & will include all the usual CD 
  43. trimmings such as Rendered intro & cut-screens. As usual
  44. Virgin will be releasing the game.

  47. Creation - Summer
  48. -----------------
  49. All that's know about this game so far is that it uses the
  50. Magic Carpet engine and is based underwater.  Expect the 
  51. game out on Electronic Arts later this year.

  54. Dark Seed 2 - Autumn / Winter
  55. -----------------------------
  56. The follow-up to the Giger inspired Dark Seed will be 
  57. similar to the original, only bigger and coming out on
  58. CD only.

  61. Dungeon Keeper - Winter 95 / Spring 96
  62. --------------------------------------
  63. Bullfrog have produced classics in many genres and are
  64. looking to take Ultima Underworld's crown for RPG. 
  65. Peter Molyneux has hinted that the game will include
  66. a much improved engine from Magic Carpet.

  69. FX Fighter - Spring
  70. -------------------
  71. New software house GTE have signed up Argonaut's (Starwing
  72. & Creature Shock) beat-em-up.  The game will use there
  73. BRender video chipset to knock Sega's Virtua Fighter into
  74. submission.  Early screenshots have look very similar to
  75. Sega's new Virtua Fighter 2 & Nintendo's Killer Instinct.

  78. Frontier : First Encounters - Spring
  79. ------------------------------------
  80. After 8 years waiting for a sequal to David Braben's Elite
  81. it has taken less than 2 years to produce the next 
  82. installment.  The new game will include graphics similar
  83. to Frontier but more smooth.  The game will be CD only
  84. this time giving FMV throughout.  It will be interesting
  85. to see how the magazines see the game.  After many killing
  86. Frontier & others saying it was a classic.  Let's wait and
  87. see !!!

  90. Full Throttle - Spring
  91. ----------------------
  92. It seems to have taken LucasArts ages to release their new
  93. adventure game.  After the classic Day Of The Tentacle &
  94. Sam & Max people will expect much.  It's a CD only product
  95. (what isn't these days ?).  The game is less cute than the
  96. last two games.

  99. Lands Of Lore 2 - Summer 
  100. ------------------------
  101. Westwood Studios are beavering away at the follow-up to the
  102. hugely successful Lands Of Lore.  The creators of Eye Of The
  103. Beholder 1 & 2 sure know a lot about RPG's and using a game
  104. engine similar to Dragonlore this could be their best game
  105. yet.  As with all recent Westwood games this game will be 
  106. distributed by Virgin.

  109. Mortal Kombat 2 - Early Spring
  110. ------------------------------
  111. Follow up to the mighty Mortal Kombat, MK2 is similar to the
  112. original with new moves & characters.  The console game sold
  113. in bucket loads so hopefully Probe will do a job at 
  114. converting it to the PC.  The first game did well on the PC
  115. but the sequal is up against classics like One Must Fall &
  116. the soon to be released Super Street Fighter 2.  One last 
  117. point, like Streetfigter which is being made into a film
  118. starring Jean-Claude Van Damme & Kylie Minogue, Mortal 
  119. Kombat is also being made into a film.  This time starring
  120. Highlander star Christopher Lambert.  Whilst on the subject
  121. of the Streetfigher 2 film, us Brits could end up never 
  122. seeing the film.  After 2 months of talks there have been
  123. no takers for the film.  The big guns have complained that
  124. the film is to expensive.

  127. Quake - Winter
  128. --------------
  129. ID Software have become a household name for all those PC
  130. owners out there.  After releasing 2 of the greatest ever
  131. Shareware games (Wolfenstein & Doom) and 2 not so hot 
  132. sequals (Spear Of Destiny & Doom 2) ID are tipping Quake
  133. to be the next big thing.  ID's Jay Wilbur has said that
  134. 'the game will be as big a step as Doom was to Wolfenstein'
  135. Like there other games the game will be released as share-
  136. ware.

  139. Sensible Golf & Sensible World Of Soccer - Spring
  140. -------------------------------------------------
  141. Sensible have been busy with a sequal and new game.  S Golf
  142. is different to all recent golf games by using a different
  143. perspective.  Yes Sensi Golf will use the top-down view
  144. seen in Sensi Soccer & Cannon Fodder.  As for Sensi WOS this
  145. will be similar to the prequal with new management options.

  148. Sim Tower - Spring
  149. ------------------
  150. Get this a SIM game not written by Maxi !!!   The game is
  151. being written by Japan's Handbook programming team but will
  152. be released by Maxis.  It is not known if Maxis have had 
  153. much input into the game but we'll just have to wait.
  154. But this isn't the only SIM game being released by Maxis
  155. but not being programmed by them.  Sim Rainforest is being
  156. written by Intelligent Games and should be released around
  157. the same time as Sim Tower.

  160. The 11th Hour - God Knows When Probably By The Year 2000
  161. --------------------------------------------------------
  162. Trilobyte have taken an age to release the sequal to 7th
  163. Guest.  Firstly the game was refused a classification
  164. so had to be toned down to get an 18 certificate and then
  165. after Access released Under A Killing Moon Trilobyte went
  166. back to the drawing board.  Virgin will release the game
  167. if it ever does get finished.

  170. Theme Hospital - Summer
  171. -----------------------
  172. Bullfrog are giving the Theme Park make over to running
  173. a hosital.  What else can I say ?   Simply brilliant.
