  9. Well,   my  introduction  may  not  be
  10. exactly  original  but  it sums up the
  11. main scenario behind Mad Bull 34.

  15. Surprisingly,  Mad  Bull  34 is set in
  16. New York city whereas most anime would
  17. not  think  to  venture  out  of  it's
  18. Japanese  homeland.   Still  I suppose
  19. the  story  wouldn't feel right in any
  20. other downtrodden setting.

  22. The  plot  centres  around  two police
  23. officers,    patrolling    the    34th
  24. precinct:   John  Estes, also known as
  25.  
  26.

  29. Sleepy  or Mad Bull which is where the
  30. title   originates   from,   and   his
  31. partner,  fresh  out  of  the academy,
  32. Diazaburo.   Which,  in  case you were
  33. wondering,    is    half   Japanese...
  34. naturally!

  36. In  this much cliched style, Sleepy is
  37. the  cop  that  would much rather blow
  38. the  bad  guyz away rather than arrest
  39. them ...and he often does.  Diazaburo,
  40. however, is the reasonable side of the
  41. duo   who   repeatedly   attempts   to
  42. convince  Sleepy  that  it's better to
  43. arrest than kill, to no avail.

  45. The first episode, "Scandal", is based
  46. mainly  around  Diazaburo's initiation
  47. into  Sleepy's  daily  patrol routine,
  48. and  this  guy  don't give ya speeding
  49. tickets for a living!

  51. The  main  bulk  of this episode deals
  52. with   the  hitman,  whose  name  I've
  53. forgotten, whose out to kill Sleepy so
  54. he  take  over his patch, so to speak.
  55. After  the  gangsta  bloke  loses  his
  56. head,  literally,  the  first  episode
  57. ends  on  a  brush  with  the Internal
  58. Affairs department.

  62. Like  most  of  the  anime released in

  74. you  can  say  Mad Bull 34 has sex and
  75. violence  GUARANTEED.   There's also a
  76. few  laughs  chucked in there for good
  77. measure.

  79. The  animation is of reasonable enough
  80. quality  but the voice talents (?) are
  81. questionably.    Well,  see  what  you
  82. think  of  the  representation  of the
  83. hitman's voice!

  85. In  total,  Mad Bull 34 is a four part
  86. series   with   each  episode  lasting
  87. roughly 45 minutes.

  89. Overall,  if you like your anime to be
  90. of  the  non stop ass-kicking variety.
  91. You  won't  be  disappointed  with Mad
  92. Bull 34.
