  5. The following review is based on one that was originally published
  6. in MAG.E Issue 5. On the programmer`s request I have extended it
  7. exclusively for Amoszine.

  9. "TQM" is the only other Sci Fi diskmag on the Amiga other than MAG.E
  10. and to that extent deserves a mention. It`s a semi-regular production
  11. each issue coming out as and when there are enough contributions to fill
  12. it and the editors have enough time to produce it. However unlike MAG.E
  13. it is aimed at generic Science Fiction, so it is largely made up of 
  14. short stories with a few book reviews thrown in for good measure.

  16. The single disk is full as I say of good Science Fiction stories of 
  17. various lengths and quality. However most of them are very readable. 
  18. If you`re interested in this kind of thing it`s worth looking for the 
  19. disk.

  21. The only point of note is that the interface is very unprofessional;
  22. at least it is in my opinion. I`m sure that there`s a lot of work put into
  23. it but it is confusing to use. This interface reflects a view of the
  24. solar system, with all the planets fulfilling different tasks. I
  25. understand that this is the result of AMOS acting on the programmers.
  26. However I much prefer Magnum.Pro any day!

  28. There is also very little in the way of sound or graphics on the disk,
  29. but obviously this is not what the diskmag is aimed at. There is plenty
  30. to read and much of it is very interesting to see.

  32. Whilst "TQE" is in parts unprofessional, it is put together well, it is
  33. significantly different from MAG.E to warrant a look. Others may 
  34. disagree, but as always comments are welcome.

  36. I have recently heard that there may only be one other issue of TQE,
  37. the third (with the producers attending Oxford at the moment). So now
  38. may be the time to find out more about TQE.

  40. However, in preference, I still prefer MAG.E!
  41. (And Amoszine is fairly good too) :-)
