  15.           _X_r_e_f_r_e_s_h is a simple X program that causes all or part of
  16.           your screen to be repainted.  This is useful when system
  17.           messages have messed up your screen.  _X_r_e_f_r_e_s_h maps a window
  18.           on top of the desired area of the screen and then
  19.           immediately unmaps it, causing refresh events to be sent to
  20.           all applications.  By default, a window with no background
  21.           is used, causing all applications to repaint ``smoothly.''
  22.           However, the various options can be used to indicate that a
  23.           solid background (of any color) or the root window
  24.           background should be used instead.

  28.                     to flash quickly, and then repaint.
