- _e_x_p_o_r_t_f_s makes a local directory (or file) available for mounting over
- the network by NFS clients. It is normally invoked at boot time by the
- /_e_t_c/_i_n_i_t._d/_n_e_t_w_o_r_k script, and uses information contained in the
- /_e_t_c/_e_x_p_o_r_t_s file to export a _d_i_r_e_c_t_o_r_y (which must be specified as a
- full pathname). The superuser can run _e_x_p_o_r_t_f_s at any time to alter the
- list or characteristics of exported directories. Directories that are
- currently exported are listed in the file /_e_t_c/_x_t_a_b.
-
- With no options or arguments, _e_x_p_o_r_t_f_s prints out the list of directories
- currently exported.
-

- ----aaaa All. Export all directories listed in /_e_t_c/_e_x_p_o_r_t_s, or if ----uuuu is
- specified, unexport all of the currently exported directories.
-
- ----vvvv Verbose. Print each directory as it is exported or unexported.
-
- ----uuuu Unexport the indicated directories.
-
- ----iiii Ignore the options in /_e_t_c/_e_x_p_o_r_t_s. Normally, _e_x_p_o_r_t_f_s consults
- /_e_t_c/_e_x_p_o_r_t_s for the options associated with the exported directory.
-
- ----oooo _o_p_t_i_o_n_s
- Specify a comma-separated list of optional characteristics for the
- directory being exported. _o_p_t_i_o_n_s are described in _e_x_p_o_r_t_s(4).

-
- WWWWAAAARRRRNNNNIIIINNNNGGGGSSSS
- You cannot export a directory that is either a parent- or a sub-directory
- of one that is currently exported and within the same filesystem. It
- would be illegal, for example, to export both /_u_s_r and /_u_s_r/_l_o_c_a_l if both
- directories resided in the same disk partition.
-
- Extremely long export lists (hundreds of hosts or netgroups for a single
- exported directory) may cause mount requests for that exported directory
- to time out.
