  37.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of XVM
  38.        Manager GUI.

  40.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  41.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  42.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  43.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  44.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  45.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  46.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  48.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate.  Refer to

  82.        All of the subsystems for XVM Manager GUI can be installed
  83.        using IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to
  84.        _I_R_I_X _A_d_m_i_n: _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _a_n_d _L_i_c_e_n_s_i_n_g for complete
  85.        installation instructions.

  88.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  90.        If you want to install sysadm_xvm.sw.client, you must also
  91.        install sysadm_cluster.sw.client and sysadm_base.sw.client.

  93.        If you want to install sysadm_xvm.sw.desktop, you must also
  94.        install sysadm_cluster.sw.desktop, sysadm_base.sw.client and
  95.        release 3.2 of java_eoe.sw.base (Sun JRE 1.1.8).

  97.        If you want to install sysadm_xvm.sw.server, you must also
  98.        install eoe.sw.xvm, cluster_admin.sw.base,
  99.        cluster_control.sw.cli, cluster_services.sw.cli,
  100.        sysadm_cluster.sw.server and sysadm_base.sw.server.

  102.        If you want to install sysadm_xvm.sw.web, you must also
  103.        install sysadm_xvm.sw.client and sysadm_xvm.sw.server.

  105.        2.5  _C_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y
  106.  
  107.        A client with this version of the XVM Manager GUI software
  108.        cannot connect to a server running a different version of
  109.        the XVM Manager GUI software.  Please upgrade the servers
  110.        and clients at the same time.

  112.        2.6  _O_t_h_e_r__I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n__I_n_f_o_r_m_a_t_i_o_n

  114.        If you launch the GUI client from a Web browser, you may be
  115.        required to install the Java Plug-in.  If the Java Plug-in
  116.        is not installed when the XVM Manager GUI is run from a
  117.        browser, the browser will be redirected to the appropriate
  118.        web page to download the Plug-in.
