  10.        Since this is the upgrade from Navigator 3.0X to
  11.        Communicator 4.79 by Netscape Communications Corporation,
  12.        there were thousands of bugs filed and fixed between the 3.X
  13.        series and 4.X series. For more details on bugs fixed and
  14.        new features in the Netscape Communicator 4.79 refer to the

  19.        SGI held off on releasing a version of Communicator on IRIX
  20.        till the reliability and quality was good enough for our
  21.        customers.  This is the culmination of all the waiting.

  23.           +o Performance improved on startup due to using the latest
  24.             MIPS compilers and cording the binary.
  25.  
  26.           +o Fixed various Messenger / University of Washington IMAP
  27.             server problems which caused core dumps, hangs, and
  28.             loss of message statuses.

  30.           +o In various releases users' mailcap and mime.types
  31.             definitions were lost.  This problem was fixed in 4.7,
  32.             however if you upgraded from 3.0* to 4.7, then you may
  33.             need to modify your ~/.netscape/preferences.js file to
  34.             remove any lines that reference
  35.             /usr/local/lib/netscape/mailcap or
  36.             /usr/local/lib/netscape/mime.types.
