Transcription: The first incandescent bulb or lamp was invented by Thomas Alva Edison in 1883. It consists of a metal that is heated to a point where it emits an electron cloud. Nowadays, it's virtually impossible to go into any building that does not use light bulbs or fluorescent tubes. Through further development, lighting aids have been produced which can provide the same amount of light as the original incandescent bulb. but last up to five times longer and use only 25% of the energy for the same light output.
