  13. Netscape is trying to be helpful, but like most PC software it doesn't
  14. understand Mac files very well.  The fix is to adjust your mime.types
  15. file, adding the "hqx" to the "application/octet-stream" line.  So
  16. you'll have something like this:

  18. application/octet-stream       bin hqx exe com tgz gz tar

  20. That's what mine looks like.  That will tell Netscape to treat it as
  21. straight data and not try to do anything with it.  You can find the
  22. mime.types file Netscape is reading by looking at Options -- General
  23. Preferences -- Helpers.
