Its an AST Advantage 828 with an ATI Mach64 video card. It has 32 megs of RAM, but E/DOS only sees 11 or so when running through Windows95. I just downloaded the new ATI Vesa 2 video drivers.
I ran E/DOS with and without the new drivers installed (through Windows 95), and I got the exact same results. The first time, without the VBE 2.0 drivers, it detected no VBE 2.0, and the second time, with the VBE 2.0 drivers, it detected that there was a VBE 2.0 compliant video card. The video was, according to Speedometer, exactly the same. It appeared to be slower after installing VESA 2.0.
I will restart in MSDOS mode, and see if that makes a difference. Also, I will try the new cwsdpmi, to see if that makes a difference.
If anyone else has seen anything similar, please speak up.
