  17. The good news is that over two years ago we were connecting to
  18. CompuServe using Executor/NEXTSTEP.  The bad news is that we put
  19. serial port support on hold until after E2 ships.  The good news is
  20. that E2 will be shipping soon, so we can implement serial support.
  21. The bad news is that we're going to restructure Executor's code before
  22. we add features like this.

  24. All told it will probably be a few months before we even have bleeding
  25. edge versions with serial port support.  Hopefully then we'll be
  26. adding new features at a rate even faster than we did with 1.99<x>.

  33. BTW, networking falls in much the same category as serial port
  34. support, although it's not something that we even played with under
  35. E/NS and it's a bit harder, but in general it's high priority and we
  36. think we can shoehorn it in after the code restructuring.
