  8. 1. In its entire history, Apple has made only two products that have been
  9. resounding popular successes:  the Apple ][, and the MacOS operating
  10. system.  The ONLY reason people buy Macintosh computers is to run MacOS.

  12. 2 and 3.  The certain way to kill MacOS and Macintosh is to allow
  13. developers to slip over to Windows and stop writing for Mac.  Right now,
  14. all the financial inducements (not to mention social pressure, development
  15. tools, and rational future vision) are lopsided in favor of Windows, as
  16. pained as I am to say that.  Isn't it clear what Executor really could
  17. mean for Apple?  Executor allows a developer to stay loyal to Mac, work
  18. with the Mac APIs, and still be able to sell into the lucrative Windows
  19. market!
