- Yes. We have a Mac ISV to thank for that. Some Mac only ISVs are
- disappointed that they have no way to sell their apps on PCs. On Guy
- Kawasaki's "Semper Fi" mailing list there has been a lot of discussion
- about allowing MacOS to run on PCs, but the vast majority of it is
- founded on ignorance. Apple has been chided in the past for having a
- not invented here syndrome and unfortunately it looks like they're
- continuing that tradition.
-
- Although we met informally with some members of the MAE group (the
- gentleman who invited us to drop by is no longer with Apple) a couple
- years ago, we have not had an official invitation to talk to Apple in
- all our (soon to be ten) years of existence. That is not due to a
- lack of trying on our part. I think that's a shame. We're sending
- some copies of Executor 2 beta1 into Apple, although mostly its to
- people who aren't in very high places.
-
- In a couple of weeks I'll be at MacHack '96 presenting a paper on
- Executor internals and showing off Executor in general. If we can't
- wrangle a meeting with Apple out of that presentation we'll just have
- to conclude that they don't want to have anything to do with us.
