  13. Yes.  We have a Mac ISV to thank for that.  Some Mac only ISVs are
  14. disappointed that they have no way to sell their apps on PCs.  On Guy
  15. Kawasaki's "Semper Fi" mailing list there has been a lot of discussion
  16. about allowing MacOS to run on PCs, but the vast majority of it is
  17. founded on ignorance.  Apple has been chided in the past for having a
  18. not invented here syndrome and unfortunately it looks like they're
  19. continuing that tradition.

  21. Although we met informally with some members of the MAE group (the
  22. gentleman who invited us to drop by is no longer with Apple) a couple
  23. years ago, we have not had an official invitation to talk to Apple in
  24. all our (soon to be ten) years of existence.  That is not due to a
  25. lack of trying on our part.  I think that's a shame.  We're sending
  26. some copies of Executor 2 beta1 into Apple, although mostly its to
  27. people who aren't in very high places.

  29. In a couple of weeks I'll be at MacHack '96 presenting a paper on
  30. Executor internals and showing off Executor in general.  If we can't
  31. wrangle a meeting with Apple out of that presentation we'll just have
  32. to conclude that they don't want to have anything to do with us.
