- Sounds to me like you have an interrupt conflict somewhere....
- This used to happen to me when I had both my modem and my scanner sharing
- the
- same interrupt. If I used the modem, it would turn on the scanner.

- Well, it's always worth checking one last time--its just that this system
- has been so well documented in its IRQs, DMS, Port addresses, etc. to
- avoid such things that it seems unlikely--but I'll check it again, anyway.
- The scanner card can optionally use an IRQ & DMA but none are required by
- the software I'm using for successful operation. I haven't seen the docs
- for the scanner in eons... not since '89?--I think.
