  9. You don't.  Not unless you have one of those outmodeled PC adapter cards
  10. for Appletalk manufactured by Dayna or Farallon.  Plus the fact, NE2000
  11. compatible ISA Ethernet combo cards go for $35 these days - a much better
  12. solution for the money.

  20. That shouldn't be a factor if you're buying relatively recent printers,
  21. regardless of whether Apple makes 'em or not.  My LaserWriter Pro 630 has
  22. an AAUI port (apple attachment unit interface) and hooked up to that is a
  23. $35 transciver for 10baseT.  It becomes even more convenient if you want to
  24. network multiple machines together (either Mac, PC, or both).  Now THAT's
  25. transparent computing - when you can transfer files between different
  26. machines effortlessly using AppleShare instead of FTP, or NFS.

  28. If you're using an older printer, you'll still have a serial connector (for
  29. connecting to PC's).  I don't know what kind of kludge you'll have to hack
  30. together to use it though.  Probably the same thing you'd do with an old
  31. LaserJet I imagine.
