  1. Think of the hFV as a temporary solution.
  2. When they do a native port for Win32, it could use long-filenames, and an 
  3. HFV wouldnt be needed (except maybe the SYSTEM.HFV for booting).
  4. And I believe the same goes for OS/2 ports, if it uses the HPFS in OS/2.
  5. Linux already has long file names, so that problem is solved.
  6. I guess the HFVs are the only solution if you run Executor on MS or PC DOS.
  7. Partitions seem a bit extreme for people who have important data and dont 
  8. want to re-partition and re-format (or take a chance with a part resizer.)
