  11. OK, here's the problem: you need a utiliti called "AOMAC2PC.EXE" that
  12. converts Mac downloads so you can use them on a PC.  you can et it
  13. from america online itself, I think.  (do a earch on that filename)
  14. Then you'll have to run something like BinHex5 or StuffIt lite's
  15. "MacBinary" translator to extract the resulting file's Finder info and
  16. properly split it's resource and data forks.

  18. I believe that AOL, when transfering Mac files, uses it's own special
  19. encoding scheme instead of the standard MacBinary format.  Ergo, the
  20. files don't work right for non-Mac people wthout being mangled first.
