- Most 800k images *don't* need to be copied to a real Mac first. 800k
- *floppies* do, but 800k *images* don't. The problem with 800k
- floppies is that the floppies are phyiscally encoded in such a way
- that the PC drive can't read them. However an 800k *image* is still
- probably in HFS format, which means that you can turn it into an HFV
- if you know where the HFS portion begins and ends.

- That's all HFV files are: disk images. My understanding is that
- Apple's distributions have a few extra bytes at the beginning, so you
- have to strip off those bytes before you can use them.
