- MacBinary is another name for the BinHex 5.0 format. The .hqx files
- are in BinHex 4.0 format. BinHex 5.0 encodes the Mac files as a
- binary archive, while the BinHex 4.0 encodes them into ASCII. Both
- formats are useful for different purposes.
