  14. I am using Executor here at home with my PC and a SCSI ZIP drive.
  15. It's a simple Adaptec 1542C, but any other SCSI host adapter should
  16. do, too. You only need to be able to access your drive from DOS
  17. (at least that's my experience), so you can even use doublespace
  18. or jam on that drive to double your capacity (i usualy do that with
  19. my zip disks for home use).
  20. I used it already on a Macintosh, too, and it's just really easy
  21. (although i don't rely on the termination switch of the drive, i
  22. usualy use an active scsi terminator).

  24. Now to encode/decode files: All you need is Stuffit and StuffitExpander
  25. (you don't necessarily need StuffitExpander, but its much easier
  26. to decode with it :). Rest should be pretty obvious, just just need
  27. to always remeber that as soon as you copy something from Executor
  28. or a Macintosh to a dos disk the file usualy looses it's resource
  29. fork and therefor if it wasn't only a textfile it won't be transfered
  30. correctly. So that's what binhex is for, it converts any macintosh
  31. binary file (e.g. an archive, application etc.) into a textfile.
  32. Stuffit as far as i know has this ability already builtin (or was
  33. it StuffitExpander?! ;).
