  12. Unfortunately there is no general way for programs to set the border
  13. color in SVGA modes (as opposed to VGA modes).  Instead it's stuck at
  14. color 0.  Most PC apps make color 0 be black, but the Mac makes color
  15. 0 be white, so you get a white border.  Keeping the border black is up
  16. to the video driver, and I've suggested to the UniVBE folks that they
  17. change UniVBE to always force a black border.  They thought that
  18. sounded like a good idea.

  20. Note that the "white border" problem doesn't happen on all video
  21. boards (e.g. Mach64 works fine).
