  1. I ended up solving my own problem and it's so simple I am pretty sorry 
  2. for the number of mails I posted on this subject but anyway here is what 
  3. I did:
  4.  
  5. 1) export DefaultFolder="/tmp" for all users (root included).
  6.  
  7. 2) start E/L as root and suddenly one more scratch disk appears: "tmp", 
  8. select that one and exit from Photoshop.
  9.  
  10. 3) start E/L as a user and enjoy it.. :)

  12. However, I have no idea if exporting DefaultFolder to /tmp will cause
  13. problems with other programs but I think it could actually _solve_ some 
  14. installation problems when the installation program tries to decide if 
  15. you can or cannot write to the disk.. Anyone care to comment on that?

  17. Thanks to ARDI, tonight I am really happy.. :) I have been waiting for 
  18. quite a bit to see Photoshop run on Linux and so far I am pretty 
  19. impressed.. :)
