  11. It's not wierd at all.  On my Mac, most of the installers will quit all
  12. running applications (including the FINDER) before they begin to install. 
  13. This is true with some versions of Apple Installers and all of the Vice
  14. Installers.  Somehow any program that will try to quit all other programs
  15. will not work.

  20. System file, provides the information your Macintosh needs to operate."

  22. MS-DOSish, it's like the COMMAND.COM and the System is like the MSDOS.SYS
