  3. I managed to get Nisus 4.0.7's table tool up and running just now on E/D199q8.
  4. Nisus itself still dies (and this time takes E/D with it, no nice trap messages
  5. and restarts), but that may be due to transferring files from an existing Mac
  6. Powerbook 510c installation. Some files got corrupted in transit and I'll have
  7. to redo part of the copy.

  9. The really good news is that the Table Tool stayed up, did not crash, appeared
  10. functional in every respect except printing, and saved a table! On exiting the
  11. app, I double-clicked on the saved table object, which opened perfectly with
  12. all info from the previous session intact. The only downside apart from the
  13. printing, which I don't think I have set up properly at the Exec end, is a
  14. popup at program startup which asks for a replacement font, but this I guess is
  15. a function of the font situation in Exec itself, and nothing to do with the
  16. Table Tool itself.

  18. Attempts to start up the Nisus TEX equation editor failed with an "executor:
  19. Fatal error. encountered unknown, unimplemented trap `AODD'." message and on
  20. clicking on the restart button, Exec obligingly restarted.

  22. My current E/D program program object parameter settings are:

  24. -system 7 -size 800x600 -applzone 8M -printer LPT1

  26. btw, the floppy access in q8 is blazingly fast under Warp compared with
  27. previous marques. Instead of minutes it's in the order of seconds, both for
  28. checking disks and opening them.
