  13. This may be a result of naming problems.  Under DOS, because of the
  14. leading "%", 7.3 filenames are needed.  Internally there are places
  15. where the inability to map a name will result in i/o error (this is a
  16. bad choice, a more appropriate error value should be returned).  That
  17. may be the cause of the trouble you're seeing.
