- In all fairness to Joe, what happens often in the PC vs. Mac "debate"
- is something like this:
-
- And another thing ... Macs can run PC software via SoftWindows,
- but Macs can't do the reverse
-
- Oh yeah? With Executor you can do the reverse.
-
- If the person who brings up Executor lists its limitations immediately
- it's less likely that someone will respond with "But Executor is a
- piece of crap." I think Joe wanted people to know about Executor's
- limitations, which is fine with me -- we certainly don't hide them,
- but he wasn't aware of how capable Executor currently is.
-
- I try not to get involved in Mac vs. PC discussions, but I try to
- clear things up whenever Executor is inaccurately portrayed, whether
- the error is claiming that Executor does too little or the claim that
- Executor does too much. By spending a little time doing this I think
- I reach people who otherwise wouldn't be exposed to Executor. Of
- course I'd rather be working on getting Executor 2 out the door, but
- we need a little exposre as we toil away so that people will keep
- licensing E2-pre-beta so we can pay our bills.
-
- Thanks for your concern. I'll try not to waste *too* much time
- posting on Usenet.
-
- BTW, an Executor Enthusiast thinks he has access to a PowerMac 7500 at
- his work. If so he'll run Speedometer 3.23 on it and get the results
- back to me for so I can post them.
