- Dear Clifford and fellow Executor users,
-
- I have read the posting by Clifford answering Joe Ragosta. I think this
- kind of provocative posting by Mr. Ragosta should not cost so much of
- Clifford's time. I am sorry some people always try to play down the
- technically bright achievements by the people at Ardi. If Mr. Ragosta
- wants to run the latest Mac software on his original PowerMac, I don't
- think anybody in the world can object to that.
- But if _I_ want to run some Mac applications on my Linux box, and I have
- registered with Ardi and am aware of Executor's limitations, then again
- nobody can object to that.
- The main point I want to make is:
- I feel Clifford/Ardi have adopted the correct ethical stance as to bug
- reporting, compatibility issues and the availability of Beta versions of
- Executor. I hope this policy will not change because of some people's
- agressive stance towards innovation.
- I too have owned every kind of micro, from Z80 wirewrapped
- prototypes that I programmed with a hexadecimal keyboard to the
- Pentium I am using to write these lines, with many Macs in between. I
- feel there is no more interest in discussing "the best micro, the best OS".
- Please Clifford, let us get on with Executor. It is a singular achievement,
- much above the kind of misplaced criticism displayed my Mr. Ragosta.
