- Here in comp.emulators.mac.executor, bonzo@wolsi.com (Bonzo)
- spake unto us, saying:
-
- >Executor is beyond a joke. Just read the list of non-supported features.
- >Put simply, this is what you get:
- >
- >System 6
- >No TrueType fonts (bitmapped only)
- >no control panels
- >no inits
- >DA support is flakey
- >no appletalk
- >no serial ports
-
- Since nobody else has managed to provide this functionality even WITH
- Apple code, much less without (as ARDI has done), I seriously question
- the term "joke" in your assessment.
-
- You have a better solution? For under US$100?
-
- >One real whiz bang program. What a joke. Imagine SoftWindows only being
- >able to run Windows 1.0 programs, and thats about what you get with
- >executor.
-
- SoftWindows uses BIOS code and Windows code licensed from the various
- vendors. Executor does not. FWIW, Executor appears able to run a
- significant number of the shareware apps I've run under it. A far
- cry from your above description.
