- Here in comp.emulators.mac.executor, Richard Hakim
- <rhakim@macbeth.neuro.uottawa.ca> spake unto us, saying:
-
- >(I hear GraphicConverter now works! What a coup!)
-
- Well, it limps at best. But I've gotten v2.3.1 (it's at Info-MAC) to
- convert a PICT to a GIF and save it - whcih is what I wanted it for.
- It tends to blow up a lot under E/D v1.99Q, though, and the various
- Settings menus fail because of unimplemented calls (I assume that's
- the reason).
-
- Also, it keeps on tossing up a dialog saying that QuikTime is needed
- for JPEG/JFIF when I try to save in a number of different formats
- (including JPEG <g>). Not all, but quite a few.
-
- For ARDI's benefit -- this particular shareware application looks like
- it could be one to put on the list of valuable programs worth looking
- at or concetrating on for compatibility purposes. It's slick!
-
- For pure graphics/sound conversion purposes, it MIGHT be better to use
- a program like Imagery v1.9, which seems to work as well (or better)
- than Graphics Convertor does under E/D 1.99Q.
-
- Keep in mind that my use of those two programs is VERY limited (20-25
- minutes between the two, probably), and that ain't very telling. I
- spend most of my Mac time in Glypha, Pararena, or Skiing. :-)
