- As a matter of principle, I suppose I approve: now that you are
- making Executor available to the DOS world, you can no longer
- make the cozy assumption that none of your users are pond scum.
- It rankles that we users (as a group) can no longer be trusted,
- but I would rather swallow this unpalatable truth than see you
- get ripped off.
-
- As a practical matter, this is going to be a pain in the neck
- for at least a few of your old NeXTstep customers---those like
- me who haven't yet gotten around to buying CD-ROM drives. (Yes,
- I realize that 1x drives now cost less than an Executor license,
- but so does a good Japanese meal, and I haven't splurged on one
- of those lately, either.) Would it be possible, say two weeks
- _after_ the chaos of shipping the 2.0 CD subsides, for me and
- anyone else in the same boat to receive email (or "nymous FTP")
- copies over the net? I don't want to hold up the works with a
- special request, but it may be months before I can get access to
- a net-connected CD-ROM, and so even if I have to wait weeks for
- someone at ARDI to have a few spare minutes, it still may be my
- best option.
