  1. I've been experiementing with NIH-image and executor.  The images
  2. I'm looking at are 256 shade grayscale.  Unfortunately, I can only get 
  3. executor to display in (I think) 64 colors (at least, the image looks quite
  4. muddy compared to NIH-image on a Mac.  Is it possible to display at
  5. 256 shades?  Or does it do it now and my setup is wrong?
