  11. What happened is that Apple finally noticed that that market was being swamped 
  12. with IBM compatible machines, and decided to try a fascinating "too little,
  13. too late" strategy of allowing specfic other companies to produce Apple
  14. compatible machines.

  16. I'm not sure when the experience we've seen time and again will finally
  17. become common knowledge: proprietary systems and computers just
  18. _dont_ _mix_.
