  11. When we do a native port to Windows '95 things will be much easier
  12. both for us and for you.  We'll also be able to add serial support
  13. fairly easily.  As such, we probably won't spend too much time making
  14. E/D work with *all* W95 configurations since it makes more sense to
  15. spend the time on getting a native port done, instead.

  25. This question comes up (with different phrasing enough) that I'll soon
  26. add it to our FAQ.  I understand you're not bitching and I understand
  27. your question.  The key is perspective.  If you ask the question as
  28. "from my perspective (that of someone wanting to run Cyclone), what
  29. use is Executor?"  The answer then becomes, at this time, "none".

  31. Executor can print to PostScript files, and under Linux and NEXTSTEP
  32. Executor can print directly to a printer.  Many Executor users pick up
  33. software from the internet and a lot of others already have an 040
  34. based Mac and can use Executor to run their software faster (it's true
  35. -- compute bound software (assuming it runs) runs faster under
  36. Executor on an entry level pentium than on a Quadra 610, much less old
  37. Macs like IIcis), etc.

  39. Remember, too, that Executor 2 is in pre-beta.  By the time Executor 2
  40. ships, we'll have a list of applications with version numbers that you
  41. can buy and expect to work with Executor.

  43. I'm in a bit of a rush now, so this isn't as thorough of a reply as is
  44. possible, but the basic answer is that the usefulness of Executor
  45. varies greatly from person to person.  Of course we're working
  46. overtime to make it more useful to a greater percentage of computer
  47. users in the future.

  55. knows more about your setup can help you get software from the
  56. internet.  It's very handy to be able to do so.
