- E/NS 1.99p9 is the most recent, but you have to go to the BleedingEdge
- directory to find it. Specifically:
-
- ftp://vorlon.mit.edu/pub/ardi/BleedingEdge/NEXTSTEP/fat199p9.tar.gz
-
- will patch 1.99p6 up to 1.99p6. So far we haven't mentioned Executor's
- renewed availability to the NEXTSTEP community. Once 1.99q is out, we'll
- do that (1.99q will have a real NEXTSTEP installer). I don't
- specifically remember any mods that will make PageMaker go better
- under 1.99p9 than 1.99p6, but I suspect there are some.
-
- We do not yet have PM6 for testing. We have temporarily stopped
- buying new software for testing so that we can use the money for
- MACWORLD Expo and cutting the Executor 2 CD-ROMs. We do have PM 5.0
- and PM 4.2. We personally haven't done much testing of either, and
- won't, until E2 is in beta. However, one of our customers bought a
- site license in order to run PM 4.2. I believe they already had the
- copies of PM 4.2 and that's why they are running that version instead
- of PM 5.0.

-
- My guess is you won't find many NEXTSTEP users who use Executor
- currently, since we haven't posted any messages on comp.sys.next.* in
- a long time, so it's quite possible that much of the remaining
- NEXTSTEP community has given up on us.

- We've certainly made great strides in 1995. We're hoping to get
- enough interest at MACWORLD Expo to actually allow us to pick up the
- pace for 1996.
