  1. I apologize in advance if this message already made it to this list, but I
  2. never saw it and I understand that there were some temporary email problems,
  3. so here it is again...

  5. I finally downloaded 1.99p6 and yes, it still runs DNA Strider!  Speedometer
  6. also runs now (when I boot to DOS).

  8. However,  I would appreciate help/suggesstions/comments from any of you out
  9. there who are successfully running p6 under OS/2 Warp.  Executor runs
  10. >>much<< faster under Warp, but has two (serious) problems at present.

  12. 1) Attempting to run Speedometer under Warp freezes E/D. ( I've got an
  13. ancient 386DX25 with 20 Megs RAM.  Under DOS Speedometer gives me a "PR
  14. score" of 0.236... you can see why I want the speed increase I get from
  15. running it under Warp).
  16. 2) More importantly, I can't transfer files to/from my floppy drive (and it
  17. takes forever to read the files on a floppy) under Warp.  I honestly can't
  18. remember if this happened under 1.99o.  If I open a file on my floppy from
  19. within an application, it pulls up an empty file (no info is read or
  20. displayed from the file).  If I try to copy a file to/from a floppy, it
  21. gives me an I/O error.

  23. Anyone know what Warp settings to change?  (Or does the solution to these
  24. I/O errors require changes in E/D?)
