- Yes, executor really is paranoid about writing to disk. It was
- running from my system partition under linux and was making my Hard-disk
- scream and scratch like it was dieing. It was _much_ heavier on the hard
- disk than _anything_ else I had previously run under Linux. I solved this
- by removing any sym links with which executor would work (my
- /usr/local/bin/executor and /usr/local/lib/executor were sym links to
- files on the installed software partition) and by defragmenting my linux
- system partition. Now things run _much_ quieter and I don't have this
- feeling anymore I am going to tear out my hard disks everytime I start
- executor or a mac app from within executor. This happened on a very
- high-end system (all SCSI PC with 3 SCSI chains, 5GB disk, 64MB RAm,
- EISA/PCI Dual pentium, high-end Graphics) so I guess it was not because the
- computer could not handle it.

- Has this kind of things (hard disk running very heavily and
- noisly under executor) happened to someone else? I really like executor
- but this was making me worried..
