- Greater than 8 bpp support is currently not implemented. It is on the
- cusp of the feature cutoff for 2.0. Currently the plan is to *not*
- support it in 2.0, but if Cotton or Mat finishes all the critical/high
- problem reports and I'm still plugging away on fixing mine, then
- there's a chance that such support would be added while I finish my
- work.

- experimental release that would appear within a month or two after 2.0
- ships.
