  2. The test of apps is simple and geared toward the end user rather than the the
  3. more technical-minded. What does a user want from an application?
  4. That it open its native files, make changes to those files, then save the
  5. files back to the HD and/or print them.

  7. None of the PS files generated by E/D printed when E/D was exited and the
  8. files spooled to Zscript v1.02 in Windows.

  10. The following Mac apps were tested:

  12. Utilities:
  13. ProVue Ram Check v1.0-runs ok-reads 30,643,960 Ram
  14. Speedometer v3.23 -runs ok-Says system is 18.2xfaster than Mac
  15.            Classic
  16. Public Utilities v1.0 runs ok-Tried File Info and Disk Info only-seems to
  17.             accurately reflect disk size & content
  18. Un Adobe v?? GPF's on exit
  19. Resorcerer v1.1 Demo- Runs ok
  20.  
  21. Graphics Apps:
  22. ColorKnit v3.0.7(shareware-available on AOL) Runs ok
  23. CyberGif v1.2 (shareware-available on AOL) Runs ok
  24. Giffer v1.12b1 (shareware-available on AOL)Runs ok but crashes on
  25.             Save As-invalid opcode
  26. KidPix v1.0 Runs & Saves Beautifully however PS files generated cause
  27.               Stack Fault in ZScript when printing is attempted.
  28. LighteningPaint v1.1(shareware-available on AOL) Runs Ok
  29. MattPaint v???(shareware-available on AOL) Runs until you try to save
  30.              then crashes causing Windows  to Reset the System
  31. NIH Image v1.55 Runs fast & flawlessly
  32. PhotoShop Demo(available on AOL) crashes on startup-fatal error in
  33.            '_unimplemented'
  34. ColorIt v3.0 Finally gets past the sign-on screen then dies-'error in convert
  35.             pixmap. This is an improvement, it used to crash as soon as it
  36.                    started.
  37. KeyCad v1.0-runs ok
  38.  
  39. Other Apps:
  40. Dynodex v3.0-runs ok-only crashes if you click on "About" button
  41. MS Word v5.1-Runs great!

  43. I hope this helps a little. Having used E/D for some time, I really applaud
  44. your efforts. I have produced real work in NIH Image with it. My major wish
  45. is that ColorIt can be made to run
