  16. We just had a meeting within ARDI and it's clear that I was premature
  17. in embracing this alt group.  We appreciate the effort you've gone
  18. towards creating the group, but feel that the presence of an alt group
  19. may harm our chances of getting an official comp. group.  Furthermore
  20. our chances of getting a comp. group are high and it makes sense for
  21. there to be just one group that is available to everyone than two
  22. groups, one of which is available only to those sites which receive
  23. alt.

  25. The reason that many of you aren't already receiving
  26. alt.comp.emulator.executor is that the control message for creating
  27. the group contained less information than many sites require.  Because
  28. we believe that the presence of the alt group will adversely affect
  29. our chances of having a comp group created, we hope that further
  30. control messages will _not_ be sent and as such
  31. alt.comp.emulators.executor will die a peaceful death (and that its
  32. death won't be used as an argument against the comp. group).
