  1. There is a good article in the October, 1995 edition of Macworld on Quix
  2. Computer's emulator which allows a genuine copy of the Mac OS to operate on
  3. PReP based systems.  The article is five pages long and does a nice job of
  4. describing the system and the problems that the company is having with
  5. Apple.  (They are trying to get an OS license from Apple, and Apple is
  6. saying no).  
  7.  
  8. The article also refers to a Quix WWW location, HTTP://WWW/QUIX.CH.  Since
  9. this post is a little off subject, I will keep it short.

  11.         On another subject...

  13. I think that Cliff's shareware CD-ROM is a great idea.  Might I make two
  14. related suggestions:  
  15.  
  16.         (1) also suggest a small DOS (Linux) subdirectory containing useful
  17. DOS/Linux utilities aimed at the             Executor users, (e.g. programs
  18. aimed at fixing AOL downloads,  VESA 2.0 emulators, etc.; and, 
  19.  
  20.         (2) helpful Mac utilities that can be used on a real Mac to make
  21. Executor easier to use, e.g. 
  22.             programs helpful at transferring programs from real Macs to
  23. Executor (e.g. programs which will                  split and reassemble
  24. single files over 1.44 megs)
  25.  
  26. I know you have a great deal of work, but I think arming the customer for
  27. this problems reduces complaints and tech support hours for you.  I think a
  28. small section in print in your manual will help.  Most of the people who are
  29. buying Executor now are very computer literate.  Your post 2.0 customers may
  30. be school teachers with far less knowledges.
