- Sorry to constantly be pestering you guys about future progress and what
- will and what won't be implemented (I guess I'm just excited about the
- progress that I've seen in the past few months!)...
-
- I was wondering if a couple things might be possible in future (post 2.0)
- versions of Executor...
-
- First off, the ALPHA-DEC Linux machine appears to be able to run
- everything except X-Windows right now... X should come real soon now
- from what I hear... Once ARDI finds its way out of debt, do you think
- you'll find a way to compile a LInux-ALPHA version? I'd love to see what
- kind of magic executor could do with 266Mhz!!!
-
- Secondly, with Apple switching thier marketing towards the PowerPC
- (PowerMac), more and more apps are being shipped with PPC versions. Will
- future (post 2.0) versions be able to run these? Do you expect better
- speed, or worse speed on these emulations?
-
- Thidly-- and I know this probably is a bit dreamy-- What is the
- possibility of being able to run Macintosh Apps w/o the entire
- "Macintosh" window? In other words, just run a single application on the
- X-windows screen without all the "browser" stuff? It would be nice (but
- certainly not very necessary) to have the Mac Apps run better integrated
- with existing X-windows applications... (ala WINE, where you can have
- the -desktop option, or just have it run in its own window)
-
- As a final note, I got a crash under executor when I tried to run a demo
- version of DesignWorkshop... The error is as follows:
-
- mmansubr.c:734; fatal error in `ROMlib_relalloc': failed assertion
- `PSIZE (b) != 0'
- mmansubr.c:734; fatal error in `ROMlib_relalloc': failed assertion `PSIZE
- (b) != 0'
-
- Any hints on getting it to run? In case it helps, you can pick up the
- demo verison from the following site:

-
- Keep up the beatiful work!
