  1. I got and installed this,
  2. with Xfree 3.1.2... same behavior as reported before (Linux-1.2.11, S3
  3. server) with the Marathon demo.  No refresh of doom-like-view screen
  4. (menus are fine, the radar works, and the map/moving in overhead mode
  5. works).  behavior is both during interactive mode (i.e., playing the
  6. game) and when it's in demo mode.

  8. is anyone else getting this symptom?

  10. note: I have tried a plethora switches, mucking with -refresh
  11. (different values), memory sizes, colormap, etc.

  15. ps: if I force a redraw of the whole screen (minimize and maximize
  16. window) then it shows the latest frame (but it doesn't do that if it
  17. goes from map mode back to "normal" mode.
