  14. Sounds to me like your video card is defaulting to a crummy refresh 
  15. rate.  You need to run some software (my Diamond SteedStar 64 has
  16. a utility called SSMODE) that will kick the card into high gear from
  17. a DOS session.  Windows and OS/2 drivers do this for you, but in
  18. DOS it often has to be explicitly done.

  20. That also applies to OS/2 VDMs, BTW, and possibly other VMs in other 
  21. environments as well.
