- Hi Folks,
-
- I just put "dos199o3.zip" and "linux199o3.tar.gz" in /pub/BleedingEdge
- on ftp.ardi.com. The README in that directory warns that these
- binaries haven't yet been tested on top of virgin 1.99o installs, so I
- wouldn't recommend picking them up unless you are a real hardcore
- Executor fan.
-
- I'm still about a week behind in my e-mail, but I wanted to get
- something out that would allow people to play with NIH Image 1.58
- (including use of Plug-Ins), since there has been a lot of NIH Image
- interest of late. Right now you need to specify "-system 7" on the
- command line to run NIH Image 1.58, and you can't yet put that in a
- configuration file (that will change soon).
-
- Tomorrow, I'll verify that these binaries do indeed work on top of
- virgin installations, and if so I'll get them mirrored to
- vorlon.mit.edu and ftp.cs.unm.edu.
-
- BTW, we're just starting to run WWW here at ARDI and hope to have
- *official* ARDI WWW pages in the next few weeks.
-
- Our list of "must do for 2.0" items still is not ready for public
- scrutiny, but the Ambrosia games "Apeiron" and "Cyclone" fall in the
- category of "look like they won't require much work, so will be
- supported for 2.0". (The apeiron installer works under 1.99o3).
-
- BTW, 1.99o2 wasn't named 1.99o2 and wasn't available to the public.
