  11. My recollection of the usenet group creation requirements is that
  12. creating a full-blown hierarchy generally doesn't happen.  There is
  13. already comp.emulators.misc, and very little Executor traffic is
  14. conducted there.  Perhaps it makes sense to request a
  15. comp.emulators.mac group first, or even to gate Executor Interest into
  16. comp.emulators.misc first, just to get things started on the Usenet
  17. side of things.

  26. I would suggest that the scope of your first poll be a bit more
  27. limited, perhaps to these questions:

  31. Would you prefer to receive Executor information via mailing list or
  32. a newsgroup?

  42. Of course since you're volunteering to do the poll on this list, you
  43. can word it however you want and ask whatever questions you want, but
  44. I do strongly suggest that the poll consist of a few yes/no questions,
  45. otherwise many people will put off answering the poll and may never
  46. get back to it.  Keep It Simple.

  48. NOTE: the DJGPP mailing list recently went through this same process.
  49. They decided to create a newsgroup and keep the list around, but
  50. encourage people to use the newsgroup.  I suspect that in the long
  51. run, that's what will happen here.
