- ftp.ardi.com is likely to be very slow for a while. ftp.cs.unm.edu :
- /pub/ardi/Executor_DOS/exec199n.exe (remember to use BINARY mode) is
- probably your best bet until vorlon.mit.edu gets the new copy.
- Remember, you either need exec199n.exe (self-extracting archive) or
- both exndisk1.zip and exndisk2.zip -- it's pointless to pick up all
- three.
-
- Make sure you either have a VESA 2 compliant video card or you use the
- newest UniVBE if you want to get the best performance out of E/D. One
- unfortunate thing about getting the best performance is that right now
- the overscan is white, which is pretty ugly.
-
- Sorry for the delay, but after fixing the Browser bug that Tim Cutts
- pointed out, we discovered a bug in the refresh code that was DOS
- specific. Mat fixed it, but by the time he was done, I was asleep.
-
- If I hear no horror stories about E/D 1.99n, I'll get it uploaded to
- SimTel tomorrow.
-
- Telephone support tomorrow and Friday will be spotty. Vaune is on
- vacation and I have some sleep to catch up on. Mat usually works the
- afternoons, so the morning phone response is likely to be the worst.
- If 1.99n gets your motor running and you want to order, consider
- sending us a FAX (+1 505 247 1899) -- just follow the directions in
- the FAQ.
-
- BTW, when not working on emergency bug fixes, Mat's been working on
- the NEXTSTEP (re)port for the last few days. NeXT came through with
- the help we needed, too.
