- Thanks.

-
- You should be able to retrieve it yourself; see below.

-
- If you send e-mail to "executor-request@nacm.com",
- "executor-digest-request@nacm.com" or "majordomo@nacm.com" with no
- subject and a message body that says "help", you'll get information on
- the things you can automatically do by e-mail. Two useful things are:
-
- index [<list>]
- Return an index of files you can "get" for <list>.
-
- get [<list>] <filename>
- Get a file related to <list>.
-
- The optional "list" argument is used when you send e-mail to
- "majordomo@nacm.com", since if you use the
- "executor-digest-request@nacm.com" address, majordomo will
- automatically know you're interested in the executor-digest list.
-
- I'd guess that's enough information for you to to retrieve what you
- want.
-
- Richard> Also if I purchase Executor for US$99, how much are
- Richard> upgrades to 2.x & 3.x. What do you get with the package

-
- Upgrade to 2.0.x Upgrade to 2.x Manuals
-
- Executor/DOS less than $60 free yes, out of date
- Executor/Linux free not yet set no, not yet
-
- Right now when you buy Executor/DOS, you get a very outdated, very
- slim manual, a set of installation disks that contain exactly the same
- info you can pick up from ftp.ardi.com, a registration card, a serial
- number and an authorization key. Executor/Linux users get the same
- thing, except for the manual.
-
- Originally our plan was to charge $59 for the upgrade fee from
- Executor/DOS 1.x to Executor/DOS 2.x. but we had to cut some of the
- features from 2.0's feature list, so the upgrade price will probably
- be less.
-
- Inadvertantly, we described a slightly different upgrade structure for
- Executor/Linux. Executor/Linux users will be able to upgrade to 2.0
- for free and also get free maintenance releases for 2.0 (e.g. 2.0.1,
- 2.0.2). However, an upgrade fee, of yet to be determined size, will
- be required to start receiving versions of 2.x that have new features
- (e.g. serial port support, sound support, etc.).
-
- The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price for Executor/DOS 2.0 will be
- $149, we have yet to set a MSRP for Executor/Linux 2.0.
-
- Currently there are student and educational discounts for
- Executor/Linux, but not for Executor/DOS. After Executor 2.0 is
- ready, there will probably be student and commercial discounts for the
- DOS version as well.
-
- I'm sorry we don't have exact numbers right now. It is my goal to
- have exact numbers for everything by the end of June.

-
- Currently we don't go through distributors and only occasionally go
- through dealers. All that will change with 2.0, but we have nothing
- definite for Australia yet.
-
- Richard> I dunno if this is the correct forum for this kinda
- Richard> stuff, lemme know if it isnt.
-
- I think it is. Whenever you send e-mail directed at ARDI, you should
- ask "will a large number of people on the mailing list be interested
- in the answer". If yes, ask executor@nacm.com. If no, ask
- questions@ardi.com. Of course it's not always obvious what the answer
- is.
