  16. If you send e-mail to "executor-request@nacm.com",
  17. "executor-digest-request@nacm.com" or "majordomo@nacm.com" with no
  18. subject and a message body that says "help", you'll get information on
  19. the things you can automatically do by e-mail.  Two useful things are:
  20.  
  21.     index [<list>]
  22.         Return an index of files you can "get" for <list>.
  23.  
  24.     get [<list>] <filename>
  25.         Get a file related to <list>.
  26.  
  27. The optional "list" argument is used when you send e-mail to
  28. "majordomo@nacm.com", since if you use the
  29. "executor-digest-request@nacm.com" address, majordomo will
  30. automatically know you're interested in the executor-digest list.

  33. want.

  44. Right now when you buy Executor/DOS, you get a very outdated, very
  45. slim manual, a set of installation disks that contain exactly the same
  46. info you can pick up from ftp.ardi.com, a registration card, a serial
  47. number and an authorization key.  Executor/Linux users get the same
  48. thing, except for the manual.

  50. Originally our plan was to charge $59 for the upgrade fee from
  51. Executor/DOS 1.x to Executor/DOS 2.x. but we had to cut some of the
  52. features from 2.0's feature list, so the upgrade price will probably
  53. be less.

  55. Inadvertantly, we described a slightly different upgrade structure for
  56. Executor/Linux.  Executor/Linux users will be able to upgrade to 2.0
  57. for free and also get free maintenance releases for 2.0 (e.g. 2.0.1,
  58. 2.0.2).  However, an upgrade fee, of yet to be determined size, will
  59. be required to start receiving versions of 2.x that have new features
  60. (e.g. serial port support, sound support, etc.).

  62. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price for Executor/DOS 2.0 will be
  63. $149, we have yet to set a MSRP for Executor/Linux 2.0.

  65. Currently there are student and educational discounts for
  66. Executor/Linux, but not for Executor/DOS.  After Executor 2.0 is
  67. ready, there will probably be student and commercial discounts for the
  68. DOS version as well.

  86. I think it is.  Whenever you send e-mail directed at ARDI, you should
  87. ask "will a large number of people on the mailing list be interested
  88. in the answer".  If yes, ask executor@nacm.com.  If no, ask
  89. questions@ardi.com.  Of course it's not always obvious what the answer
  90. is.
